    I love the look of the fill plates, but I wish they would dimple die coming up to add traction when stepping on them. Painted surfaces can get slick with wet/muddy/snowy shoes/boots on your feet.

    just paint it with bed liner or put grip tape.

    I was scolded for bringing up red wings once because of it. Apparently it's taken pretty seriously out west. Red wing has enough customers in Minnesota alone to keep the doors open.
