Another thing for people that have never been to Pismo... It is extremely windy. Don't leave your windows rolled down while parked, and tent stakes are useless. One good easy way to tie down tents is 5 gallon buckets filled with sand.

Not going on this trip, but looking through this thread reminded me of some stuff I noticed last time I was there.

 

I use Ralph's plastic bags doubled, up filled with sand, tied to the tent pole at base.

 

also dont forget the fig newtons.

 

I use a 4 firewood logs, one in each corner.

 

Did I miss it? Where ya'll gonna be, or just keep driving till I see a bunch of Toyota's.

Count me in for Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Been waiting to shred Pismo!!

 

I'd say drive until you see a bunch of tacos, should be easy to spot us unless we are out on a run. If so, drive out to the dunes and look for a bunch of guys being lead by a black 1st gen with a giant black dildo in the hood scoop.

So I'm brand new to the dunes stuff, what is required to be able to roll out there?

 

Bring lots of beer for the people who have to pull you out

Lol beer will be abundant, always have a shovel, where can I get a flag for a decent price?
