So I have been hearing this weird rattling from under my hood, so today I took some time to figure out what it is...The rear bearing is going out in my SC From everything I have read I cannnot do the rear with out sending it in? Can someone tell me that for sure?

 

Go ask Jason. He is the big sc guy. Might as well get it fully rebuilt..

Spent a few hours last night doing some research and I got a plan on the SC, found out that it is possible to do a full rebuild on my own so i found a complete rebuild kit, so I will be ripping it off tomorrow and start ripping it down. I can live with my truck being down for a bit so I am finally going to attempt breaking the rusty ass bolts on my u-bolts and rebuild my leafs. At least that's the plan right now. I figured I would get out and play a bit today before I rip it apart

 

Your truck's changed so much since I last saw it! Looks great now man, hope that SC rebuild goes well.

 

I'm interested. I just bought a supercharger too and havent installed it yet but am ready to do a rebuild if necessary.

I checked everywhere online the other night and could not find a detailed rebuild that anyone has posted so i am going to take lots of pics and post one

 

Tore my SC apart today and took very good pics so after I am done I can do a write up on it. When I drained the fluid, not very much came out so nose cone seal is shot but the nose bearings are still good just saturated with oil. I am going to replace them anyway just to be safe. Tore the rotors out and to my surprise there was no coating missing and they were in perfect shape. Now for the rear needle bearings one side was shot and kicked my ass getting out, but after fighting with it for a bit I learned that you just need to press them out the rear of the charger. Ordering the stuff i need for rebuild right now from Rolling Performance.

After I tore the charger out I attempted to remove my u-bolts so that I can rebuild my leafs, first one I heaved on i broke so I have soaked them three more times and just hoping they break loose or i am just going to cut them off

 

Got nothing better to do so i have been working on the truck. Got my u-bolts off last night, did not have the patience after I broke the first one so the rest got cut off.





Now that the leafs are just hanging I can see that the bushings are shot so while I have it apart I might as well change them. I am going to order Daystar 1.25 greasable shackles and Greasable Main Spring Eye Bushing Set. So in the near future i will have to decide what i want for rear shocks. Other than that start to tear down leafs today and get them repainted.

On a side note: think I am selling my rims and tires so that I can get some steel rims. These rims are not made for what I do. I am also going to start a garage sale thread and get rid of all of my extra and take off parts, bumpers, fan, shroud, headlights, some second gen coils and some other stuff so if in need keep an eye out or hit me up.
