Anyone used one of the henessy hammocks or similar for camping? Thinking of picking this up:

Has good reviews, and would take up a lot less space than even my 1person backpacking tent when kayak camping.

I don't have one but it looks pretty cool.

 

Think I'm going to get it. Has good reviews other places than Amazon too. Plus it keeps you off the ground and looks comfortable

Sundays work for me as long as it's not March 24th or April 7th. Fridays work as well (except for those attached to the mentioned Sundays).

 

I've been interested in those hammocks for awhile. Thinking about buying one this season. They seem amazing.

 

Get it! I was going to get one this last summer but never got around to it. My friend has one and they are awesome! Set up takes no time and they are super comfy. I'm definitely getting one this year before I go on a camping trip this spring up in Vermont. I'm thinking of the explorer deluxe with either the hex rainfly or the typhoon rainfly.

 

Becky, do you need to know Spanish to work in Lawrence? It must be tricky if you don't know it.. Lol. Just thought about that after seeing someone almost get hit by a car in Lawrence last night for the second time this week on my way home from class

 

it's bought. We're planning a few kayak trips this summer, this will hopefully be much nicer than ground tenting or just using a bivy sack

 

Haha. It's not required to work in Lawrence but definitely helpful. I took French in high school so I came into Lawrence knowing NO spanish. I have learned some ghetto spanish to get by. I think they play dumb about not knowing english too. Most of the time they really don't need the ambulance so I'm not super concerned about what they have to say anyway. The one thing that annoys me is when they are all speaking spanish to each other in front of us. That is the only time I wish I knew what they were saying so I could stun them by saying something back.

Couple of 1-2 nighters on the North river. There's a small island, blueberry island, that you can camp on if you sign up for it with Hanover I believe.

Then a 4-6 day trip down the Delaware water gap

 

You know what, that happens to me at work all the time and it pisses me off! They all know English for the most part, why do they have to exclude me, or at least speak right in front of me.

 

The main selling point for me is the built in mosquito net. Nothing worse than waking up covered in bugs and mosquito bites

 

Waking up naked and covered in shit would be worse.... Blackout-drunk German pornstar problems.
