Been looking for a brush guard that follows the lines of the center grille for my 2012 DC. Alot of the ones i have seen on here go the opposite way.
Found this bad boy 10 mins ago, from Big Country. It follows the center grill outline so it doesnt block your DRL. You can only buy from Big Country dealers, which i will contact one tomorrow to check the price out. What are your thoughts? Yay or nay?

    LOL, plus $250 shipping!

I think it looks nice anyways. Not sure what else is out there, I'd go with a plate bumper myself.

I like it. Interesting that it is called a "Euroguard". I have seen brush guards, bull bars, roo bars etc. in South Africa, Australia and US, but never in Europe. Bull bars have been banned in Europe since 2002.

That's better than a lot I've seen, but I like the avid light bar personally.

The additional shipping from Amazon is crazy, not paying that. I would just hope that the private dealer that sells Big Country products up the road will sell for around $400, and I can install it myself.

I looked at the Avid Light Bar for the 2012 and its nice too, just don't know if i would like it or one that covers the upper front-end more.

Plate Bumpers are good too, just not a personal fan.

At that price, I'd go for a new aftermarket bumper instead. What's the point of buying your brush guard?

I like it, wish I could find one for my truck on the cheap! I want to get one and remove the light covers on it though.

Welp...just ordered it. Got it priced at 389.00 and I can install it myself. Authorized dealer said it would take 4 weeks to get here since the distributor has to order it and then ship to him. But hell it's worth it since its unique.

Called one other place to check their price and they said 535.00 and 25.00 for install. Since they didn't throw in free lube for the raping I told them I'd pass.

Yeah not planning to put lights on it dtopgun515.

Cool man, I bet it will look nice. Let us know how the install goes, and of course we'll need lots of pics!

I ordered the same Big country grill guard about 6 weeks ago from a local shop in San Antonio, they told me the same thing...2-3 weeks for their distributor to get it, and I just heard the same thing yesterday....they are all on back order.

They are made in Mexico, so they probably only send a shipment when someone needs to send a load of dope over the border (which I thought was everyday?)

I will let you know when I get mine and you do the same.

We had another thread on 2012+ grill guards over here:

Geez not the news I wanted to hear. Was looking to get the thing as soon as possible.

Mexicans are suppose to be fast...this shouldn't be happening.

No projected back order date? Will be in touch, Primo 95.

My Big Country Grill Guard finally came in and I am happy with it. It is made with a heavy gauge steel, solid professional welds. The mounting brackets are heavy duty and it came with heavy duty hardware. The powder coating is top notch. It is as strong as you are going to get with a direct bolt on grill guard, especially when the Tacoma doesn't even really have a true front bumper.
It does have some rubber liners on the front. I was also able to mount it by myself. The thin gauge headlight guard are easily removable. I am on the fence with them...I will see how they impact the headlights this evening.

The clearance in the middle is 10.5 inches high, so I might go with some Hella 4000 instead of the 700FF...I think it will fill it out nicely. I am going to do some cardboard mock up of 9" vs 7" lights. The "Big Country" sticker easily came off after I took these pics.

And again, I bought this for looks and a place to mount some lights. I don't need to hear any damage multiplier comments or I needed a full replacement bumper. I live in Texas, I know this already.

I ended up taking the "Euro Guards" off the headlights and installed some Hella 700FFs
