ok, I just found out I'm getting income tax money back. First question. My truck "nosedives" when stopping. Weak shocks/springs. Will Bilstein 5100's solve the problem without spending more money for springs? Next question. Anyone know a reliable place to install them for less money than the dealer quoted me ?? ($399). No TSBs I know of for this problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think springs would be better to solve this problem.

It's a 2012 and it nose dives? Have you taken it to the dealer to get checked out? Are your back brakes adjusted or are you having to use excessive braking effort to cause the nose dive?

Had the problem since day one. Took a similar vehicle for a drive, did the same thing. Been going back and forth with them about it. Bottom line, no TSB...no fixee. They tried to tell me the 17" tires were causing the problem. Everything's been checked and adjusted. I've got them looking into the TSB for rear spring ride right now. It covers up to the 2011s. I told them if my rear springs have the same part # as the TSB I want them replaced with the 4-spring suggested replacement. (Mine are 3-spring atm.) I wouldn't put it past Toyota to be using recalled leaf springs. And I was born at night, just not last night.;) The degree of nose down is proportionate to the speed (faster speed = more nose down). It's annoying as hell.

    OK
First off the 17" Texas wheels are not a factory installed option. That package is added after production. The 3 leaf pack is on the TRD Off Road package and the 4 leaf is on the sport and other models. I have not seen a 2012 get the TSB yet, but i would be the first inline if they did. Maybe this is a good time to upgrade to 5100's and some Eibach or OME springs. Better ride and better stance. Still do not know if that will fix your problem. Kind of sounds like something up with the brake system IMO
