I wait for heavy rainfall and run outside in my boxers w/ my boat brush brushing from top to bottom and let the rain water wash away the dirt. Some times my neighbors think im not all there.

Oh yea they are, this brush has a hollow handle that you can screw into a water source so you can run water through and brush and wash away dirt at the same time. So i guess you can say that it is safe to use on the paint of the tacoma.

Agreed, black is a bitch to keep clean... I have about 12 hours after I wash it for it to stay shiny.

Weekly right now, due to NH having a love affair with putting salt on the roads. Probably going to step it down to a bi-weekly hand wash come summer though.

Just washed mine today, I try to at least once a month. I love how the truck feels after you finish waxing it! :D I'm debating on getting the paint restored or not... It's not bad but there are a few spots that could use some attention. But I'm not sure if it's worth it considering this is going to be strictly a trail truck within the next 5 years or so...

Still once a week. Especially after beach days and parking under a tree with birds.

So I'm usually pretty lazy about car washing, but I still have the new car disease and have washed it weekly except two bonus times. So probably 5-6 times in the first 4-5 weeks? I'm sure that will drop off though.. it usually does anyway. :)

Once today after my first muddy offroad session in it, and once when a sea bird did something absolutely unspeakable all over my truck. There was no way all that shit was staying on my 3 day old truck at the time. I have never seen anything like it.. Yellow and on almost every part of the truck.
