If you watch the video, he attempted to go above him but ended up sliding down on to him. It's called racing. Also, i believe Slawson told those guys he drove over, that he would personally fix anything he broke.

 

Didn't look like it, considering one guy threw a rock at the truck.

 

Or, he could have not been an asshole and taken the other guys line. Yes it's racing, but after all of the recent off-road racing deaths safety would be my top concern.

No nobody would say it is ok for someone to drive over your rig, but would you not try the same thing if you were currently in 1st place and new 2nd place was somewhere not too far behind you? According to what I read about it, the crew original told him to go up and around like he tried and moved out of the way for him to do so. It wasn't until he slid into their rig that the crew started telling him to back up and go the other way. And it's KOH! You break down and you become a new obstacle.

I'm not saying if you want to pass somebody you just just try driving right straight over the top of them, but I don't see much wrong with what he did.

Theres a huge thread about it on Pirate4x4, Hudhawk is correct, the driver had zero intentions of hitting the other rig

 

Also 0 regard for the lives of the 3 men working on the rig.

the beach used to be about a half mile or more out now after sandy every storm would be spilling onto the streets if they did not make the emergency berm which as of right now is decimated.....
