JeepAndrew's AZ Trail Runs/Campouts

This is becoming quite the get-together, I'm stoked!

I'll be bringing alcoholic beverages as well, along with an extra 10 gals of gas, auto fluids tools and what-not, so if any of us experience trouble we can handle it.

 

I welcome trouble haha!Good thing though, I still have yet to break something that I actually care about haha. I doubt I will there but still good lookin out. Are we gonna do 2 nights so we can explore?

 

Most likely will not be done, but I will have just as much fun riding shotgun and being drunk

 

It's gonna have to be a 1 nighter, I won't have a sitter for more than Sat and Sun and neither will mama bear.

I might hop in for a ride, but I have a pretty bad ass 4x4 driver lined up

 

Is a lift needed? Any other special needs or concerns? Sliders...

 

Locking diff might get you through. If not, there's enough of us who can pull you through. Or you could jump in with someone

 

Lift is optional but a good set of tires is a must. The trail is rocky in spots but with all of us being pretty good at spotting, we can get you through if you don't have sliders.

 

I've seen older stock wranglers on this trail, which are lower at stock height than a stock Tacoma. There shouldn't be any problem at all with stock height rigs.

and as for 4X2 well, we have pulled Stefen through some ridiculous shit haha!

If anyone is thinking about going but no 4x4 or just don't want to drive their rig, I have 2 empty seats as well as room in the bed for gear.


Also I think it would be great if everyone could bring a little bit of wood with them so we can have a proper fire Sat night at camp.

 

I'll defer to JeepAndrew's judgement since I haven't been there since 09. Rocks, ledges, etc, can be easily spotted, strapped, stacked but my only concern would be a couple pretty steep uphill spots where someone without good traction (especially combined with inexperience) might slide off the road and down a hill. Like I said though, maybe it's gotten better since I went through.

 

I think it has gotten better. With decent tires, I think just about anyone could do it. Me and andrew have spotted enough to be able to get everyone through. And I am on the same page as Jason. I have extra room and with my bedrack I have more than enough room for other peoples gear.

 

SO I am thinking I am IN on this trip.

I will need to iron out some details with the GF (she will want to come) but I really want to see this part of the state!
