What are you paying for a gallon?

I have heard some economist ie: Clark Howard who a while back said higher oil prices were actually good for the economy. It was something about returns on stocks, bonds and mutual funds etc...

Learned as a business major that you could take every economist on the planet, lay them end to end, and they still wouldn't reach a conclusion.

record profits for any industry is always a positive for those invested in it...but, like I posted, economists don't controll gas prices.

Paid 3.63 tonight

 

just the added taxes and seasonal fuel mandates...

then there are exploration/extraction/refinement/distribution regulations...but those are more indirect to the price at the pump.

i hate California gas... and their prices

 

absolutely true but thats not my point. Its a domino affect progressing that if fossil fuel is too high, more people will eventually conjure a thought to say, "eff that, gas is too high. im not going to go anywhere on the weekends." I feel that this is in relation to malls, gatherings,etc which generally places that require currency spent while visiting.

 

$3.85 this afternoon for mid-grade in Northern VA.

 

never know it where I live...and we are mostly a drive-to destination.

we are in a resort town, and it has been covered up w/ tourists all winter...families...snowbirds...and spring breakers will be showing up soon...

 

4.23$ in Canada ---- based on conversion to Gallons.

Paid $4.30 this week.

When I lived in Denver from May 2011 - January 2013, I rarely paid more than $3.00. Those were the days!

 

when I started driving gas was 50 cents a gallon...

those, were the days.

 

I don't think I paid less than 75, but I remember 28.

 

I never paid less than 50-55 cents...

but I remember as a kid, 25-30 cents...and 5 gallons for a dollar specials. I also remember my mom not able to afford the dollars worth. back then folks actually bought a gallon or two (at least in my family) we were poor...but we never knew it.
