**South Carolina Camping/Fishing Meet! **wheeling may occur*

Got a new toy last night! Maybe will have some sliders after all by the next meet. Miller Matic 251 mig welder.

I used to weld alot before I got married mostly old stick welding this should make it alot more fun and ALOT easier lol

 

Shit I forgot we gotta stay on topic. Camping camping camping.

 

Options are fairly slim for places to cover all three criteria. Who would really want to wheel? I've got a feeling more people probably don't want to vs. wanting to.

Camping is easy to find in and around the state. Pretty much limitless as far as that goes. Fishings pretty much the same way. Plenty of places around to drop pole in water. But wheeling, the trip would have to be based around that since the options are sooo much less.

 

I personally just want to fish and camp.

 

^ I second that... if we vote out wheeling... Lake Russell has a nice camping area.. as do a lot of places..locally

 

Could do jones gap and trout fish/ reserve a primitive camp spot. They are all on the river that runs down the gap. Its beautiful there.

 

Im not trying to be picky but bream/bass fishing areas would be preferred

I def would want to camp but don't have fishing license. also i'm not sure where i'll be in the summer b/c of graduation so may is better for me

 

I'd like the idea of jones gap, would take 11 past there going to asheville all the time when i co-oped

Lake Wateree is also nice. Military has a nice campground on the lake. I would have to check to see how many guest I can escort on. Ft Jackson also rents boats so we could go out on the lake. We do this as a office outing at my work and it was a great time last year. If there is intrest I can do some research.
