Yep, but then we would ruin his old arms that need to be used as a core.

He ended up getting new bushings from Toyota (just the lower 4) for under $300 , just gonna put them on and run it, unless he still wants to swap the poly bushings in, but were gonna have to melt out the rubber since its is bonded to the steel shell and put the poly ones in, but we will see, got the new bushings so were ,moving forward now, just blown away at the cost of some rubber bushings from Toyota, wow!

And and FYI, if anybody is gonna swap the lower bushings to poly ones dont remove the steel shell, your gonna need it!

Holy F'ing shit these things are huge!!!!! I never actually stopped to think how large our spindles are lol. The UPS guy was like...eh...you can take the box off of the dolly.

 

He must have forgotten its his job to deliver packages haha. Those things are beast

 

Yea i think I've just been staring at pictures of stock spindles for so long they look so small on pictures...then I went to pick up the box and was like OMFG WTF.

 

I Pulled them out of the box and was like...uh...are these for a semi truck or something lol? At least I know they're built of some sturdy shit lol

 

The Truck Shop makes factory LCA poly bushing replacement kits for the 2nd Gen truck. They custom designed them and are the only ones doing it. Surprised more people haven't replaced there's. They are only $80.

 

if you bought a quad that was 9 years old, had stock tires on it, the clutch cable wasn't stretched, and it ran better after you went out and rode it.
is it possible it may have not been broken in.

i'm to poor right now, i've spent $1400 in under 6 months and i only have a part time job.
i do have a cb to hook up though.

 

Nah man, I've slowly learned, it's all about just waiting that extra month for what you want, and not just buying what you can have right now. I've got about 2k worth of truck stuff sitting in my closet (hidden from teh wife ) and waiting for another grand worth of stuff this month...plus the cost of install and all that. I really want to just install what I have right now and just have fun this weekend, but I keep telling myself..."Its gonna be night and day if you wait until you have it all and just replace EVERYTHING". As opposed to a gradual...part here...part there...

 

And that's just suspension lol! Then its on to fiberglass....plate bumpers...sliders...interior stuff...ZOMG

 

You've wen't from LT'ing your truck in 4 years, to SAS'ing your truck in 2 years to coming to your sense and waiting! You'll change your mind 100 times between now and then.

If you are going LT, make sure you have a few thousand handy for when you break stuff. I've spent that much so far this year on broken stuff alone.

if we weren't moving then i'd be going LT after college, but now there's no use for LT
i'll definitely change my mind, i've thought about selling my truck, and after we move getting a 01-04 double cab 4x4 trd.

 

Yup, just going MT for now...but prepping for for LT.
