I will say a little prayer for Lynn, Mark. Hope the surgery goes without any problems.

I know she has a lot of discomfort. My first wife had to have her gall bladder removed. She was always in pain it seemed.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers for Lynn - she was sicker than ever on Sunday and Monday but feeling better today. She is really ready to get it over with. Hopefully, they can remove it laproscopically and she'll be home Thursday afternoon.

I'll update after we get home.

For now, were getting snow and it may or may not turn to freezing rain and rain. Gonna be ugly.

Morning, everyone! Didn't have much time to post yesterday.

Lynn's surgery went well - in and out of the OR in 40 minutes. She had some nausea from the anesthesia so they held her in recovery for some extra time, then sent her back to her room. After some sleep, a little food and liquids, I took her home by about 1:30 yesterday afternoon.

She was moving slowly - not surprisingly - and had some problems with the Vicoden they gave her for pain. Of 3 she tried to take between 2 and 11 last night, 2 of them made her instantly nauseous and came back up. She was able to go to sleep anyway and woke up about 3AM - decided to try some Advil and slept like a rock.

The Vicoden seems to affect her whether she has food in her stomach or not. It may have just been residual from the anesthesia - she's probably going to try one after eating breakfast - if she needs it.

She woke up when I did at 5 this morning feeling much better - not much pain and rested. She had a cup of coffee with cream and sugar without any problems.

So, she'll take it easy in the coming days - just told me I was the best nurse ever - which is code for "you get to do the laundry again this week." And, I am only too happy to do that and more just to see her smile.

Thanks for all the good thoughts and well-wishes!
