Like stated above it is kind of a waste of time and money right now but hell I still wash mine once a week. I live by the one down here off O'malley and Old Seward and it works pretty good.

I'm looking to go outdoor target shooting around the valley somewhere, since the local indoor range has limitations on calibers, for good reason.

Anybody know of any good locations??

^ what he said Birchwood is nice. I've never been to Rabbit Creek in south anc but i've heard enough bad stories to never go there.

I usually go to rabbit creek since it is 10 minutes from my house. It is a lot more regulated than Birchwood in my experience. You are only supposed to load 10 rounds at a time (not a problem with a revolver but the semi autos....) I don't shoot much though. Usually no more than an hour with the .44 so I know WTF I am doing should I end up needing to use it on a bear....

Sometimes take someone to shoot my .22. Don't do that anymore since ammo is now IMPOSSIBLE to find it seems

Yeah Birchwood is kinda just go at your own pace use common sense other than having people actually running the range saying when you can/can't shoot. Its a sad day when you cant find .22 shells. I used to keep at least 2 bricks at my place back home. I've had more fun plinking and walking around killing squirrels with my .22 than any other weapon.

Birchwood was what I figured I'd end up doing. Sutton would be nice, I just don't know that area much. Would definately want to find a large berm or hill side to keep on the side of safety.

I'd assume 454's would be acceptable to fire @ Birchwood?

You can find a far amount of 22lr bricks on Alaska's List. Picked up 2500 rounds @ 65 a brick a few days ago.

Birch wood is great especially if you are EPM. You can access anytime between 7 and 7 every day if I remember right.

Birchwood allows anything and everything. I've attempted sighting my rifle in next to a guy shooting a Barrett .50.

Their longest range goes to 300 yards I believe while Rabbit Creek only goes to 100 yards.

Birch wood is nice and is where I normally go. Pretty lax as long as your not being stupid or irresponsible with your weapon.

Normally go to Matsu Sportsman Range on Fridays with the wife. But since she had minor surgery all this week, I think I'll hit up Birchwood tomorrow. Time to give the new revolver a go.

I've always wanted to drive one. I rode in one once but that was right after I rolled my quad down a 15ft holler at Jim creek and walked out to get someone to help me get it out. So I didn't pay much attention to the ride in it lol
