    When am going through a drive thru or something and my truck is next to a wall...... It sounds like a diesel. Its kind of cool

    Nothing special at the moment just a K&N air filter.
    It reminds me of an old CJ3 jeep with the little 4banger low compression engine. If I'm not mistaken the 2.7L is a low compression engine.

    Actually, at 9.7 to 1, its considered "High compression", in the rehlm of production auto's.

    There are posts about how to muffle that clicking sound. It bothered me and it's only adding an washer around a sensor mount.

    I have always heard "Low Compression" as a 2 stroke term...i.e., 7 to 1 or so.....and anything 9.5 and up, as high compression.....
