Included in package. Only fords on ours but for tunes on mustangs which we ONLY DO. $175hr and min run time is 1hr clock starts when your car is brought inside. So setup, strap down, hook up is 1 hour then 3 runs so 2 hours gets pricey fast. There are a few places in mass that are close to you that will base line your truck. You'd have to provide the programmer they can't just open source any vehicle as they don't know about every vehicle parameters

You can't gain mpg if you want to gain torque. Torque requires fuel. When looking at mods look at the torque gain not HP. HP is a selling point and something one can not physically feel; you feel torque

I don't mind spending money on parts, or installing the parts. I just want hope that I could find someone who can properly tune it without costing me a crap load of cash.

You can get better mileage with a blower but only if you can keep your foot out of it. If you want the truck to make power though, kiss your MPG's goodbye.

More power = more broken shit if you're still looking for 355 whp or w/e crazy number you said a few pages ago. I have no clue about tuning these, nor the programs and how much you can actually change with them. However, if there is anything like LS1edit or HPTuners for toyotas, then a good option would be as follows:

Get a GOOD, knowledgeable tuner. Have them optimize the engine cal. What I mean is, all vehicles come from the factory able to operate in a wide variety of environments. Get the tuner to optimize to your current mods/ the atmospheric conditions you normally drive in. This will require lots of tuning, not just one visit. Lots of data logging, and switching tunes with the season. Or at least a summer/ winter tune. Decent gains can be had with just this since vehicles are programmed to run in everything from freezing to desert temps. There are inherently some efficiencies to be gained by optimizing for your particular environment.

Hoping to interface my ucon ECU to my laptop to optimize the tune from one of my buddy's profiles

If not, I'll go to Lawrence and get my ricer tune on! Lol

Thanks for the info in all seriousness. I'm good at the lifting and bolt on. Not so much optimization

If you really want to tune your engine, even if you want someone else to do it, the best advice I can give you is do A LOT of research and reading. You MUST understand not only what changing a parameter does, but WHY it does it. You really NEED to know the science behind it. Not just back pressure is good, i'm gonna stuff a potato in my exhaust or w/e tribal wisdom you may have. There is a lot more to it than just setting your AFR to stoic, enriching it, changing a few things around in your PE tables, etc..

XR Underground is a good place to start researching. You won't find a lot of reliable information on tuning the 1GR on here. The guys over at XRU spend a lot more time tinkering with their engines. Here, people slap on a CAI, a couple URD parts, some 'go fast' stickers, headers, a loud exhaust and call it a day.
