Meh, you gotta think, how big of a tire are you gonna run with a 14b and portals? 54s? Military Michelins? Those suckers are wide and you'd need rims with uber backspace.

** rear axle not front, I would have already bought it if it was a front axle.

Not a super deal. Thats about what they are worth stock. FWIW I payed $250 for mine with disc brake conversion, 4.56 gears, and an LSD.

I'd stay in the 42-47" range I think.... The nice thing about portals is that you don't need uber tall tires to get clearance...

Ok I didn't know if that was a good deal or not, I'd have to drive about an hr to get it plus unloading it and cleaning it up. Might just get it to have not sure yet.

Looks good! Whose brackets did you go with? I have some funky discs/e-brakes on my 14 bolt now but want to get rid of them in favor of a more standard setup, not trying to go super custom. I'll install line locks for an e-brake :D

Tossing around the idea of ordering a set of Racelines or standard aluminum wheels. Hard to justify paying double what I paid for these tires for a set of wheels but might have to splurge somewhere :bananadance:

I used Barnes 4wd brackets. They fit really well, I did have to grind a lil bit to get the caliper to fit because I'm using the larger caliper (80 Chevy 3/4 HD). Only 10 bucks a piece and my work had them in stock, the smaller ones were special order.

Welp, as quick as those 39" BFG Projects came, they will be traded on Saturday for a set of 4 old style 40" MTR's with 90% tread. Sad to see them go but the old style MTR's are my favorite tire :D

Dont worry I'm already trying to get rid of my bogger, need somthing for a 16 or 16.5 wheel. 15s will not work without crazy backspacing or lots of grinding.

Anyone who is running a different rear axle. What are you doing for an e-brake?
