Haha I was wondering where your truck was when I walked out there and then I thought it was wired that two little turd cars had to park on either side of me when half the parking lot was open.

My truck is still red x'd awaiting parts... And a mechanic who knows what he's doing. My neighbor let me use his old jeep... Don't know if you noticed the 1 windshield wiper, broken windshield or the bald tires. The key is stuck in the ignition and the drivers door won't latch closed. Haha.

Not a Tacoma but it has 200500miles on it.

Hahahahaha well at least it got you to work. Have you looked online to figure out how to replace the parts? I'm a fairly competent mechanic and would be willing to help you but I do work for beer.

Well, I've been taking it to meinike down air depo. Problably the mistake... When I stopped by yesterday, he pretty much told me that he has to do some research on it, called me today sad that its the Tps, and you can't get it with out a throttle body, he said he'd look into after market throttle body's and see what it'll cost. I did find a throttle body for about $750 on sparks. I'm tossing around the idea of a junk yard thottle body, but concidering mine only has 80k on it anything on my truck is better then any junk yard part.

I have a dedicated beer frigid in my garage, complete with a tap system( currently NMC, kegs empty and it needs a new hose) but I have 2 Case's of yueling lager, and some bud. Did you see the shoppette has blue moon 4 packs, 16oz cans for 1.99$ each!

Yah they had some around the Super Bowl too but they sold out before I could go get some. Have you looked on RockAuto.com for parts?

I'm really thinking its more then just the Tps. I think I'm problably only giving you half of the information...when I stopped by meinike yesterday he showed me a list of 5 codes he read, the Tps is just part of it I think

Yah but if you think about it the TPS could affect many things I think it would be unrealistic for 4 or 5 things to go bad at once. If you start small and replace the TPS it might end up fixing some of the other problems. The throttle body it self is completely mechanical so unless it had some type of damage or you just want to go to a larger aftermarket one I would say leave it alone.

I'm just trying to think logically from what I know I'm not trying to tell you what to do one way or the other.

I would agree with Adam. Your TPS might be the cause for the other codes being thrown. Like he was saying 4-5 things wrong all at once is very unlikely.

Good news, and bad news. Got my Tacoma back, they cleaned the thottle body, deep clean. It was pretty gummed up, the butterfly would catch coming down and the sensor would trip into a safe mode. Only cost $139

Bad news, my wife was at work up in the village, someone stole the catalytic converter. Cut it right off. It needed replaced anyway, kinda rusty and had that smell.. But still.

Yeah. See teaches at a montisorri school up in Nicholas hills, they did it right in the school parking lot.$580...... Fixed now. The cat has an o2 sensor in it, so I can't use a universal cat.

Just want to say Hi to my Okie friends. I didn't know there was a thread for Okies. Cool. I live in Moore, but grew up in the Mid-Del area.
