I have one. It worked well for quite a few years but now it won't start. I need to tear into it when I have time.

I have an old old homlite now. It's leaked all its oil into its case... I left it up in Pennsylvania...

Huskavarna makes good equipment. The only thing much better would be stihl.

id just go strait to stihl. Husky stuff works okay but doesn't seem to last as long.

However, I always use Husky 2 stroke oil. Stihl oil is WAY to thick and leaves too much of a residue. Plugged my weed eater and leaf blower exhaust in two summers.(i mow lawns though for a summer gig). Switch to husky stuff after a mechanic told me it was better. Holy crap is it.

He said he is only going to use it a few times a year so I think a husky would do fine there. Unless he gets a used stihl, it would never pay for itself with that usage.

Deck-plate Mod, rear window latch pin replaced, Airaid MIT, Magnaflow Cat-Back (#15811)
Just installed Magnaflow cat-back (#15811) this PM. Had some help from the better half and it was very satisfying to a) remove the old, 300,000km old stock exhaust and b) install a nice, purring and shiny kitty of an exhaust! :D

Haven't had a chance to take it on the highway but at idle, she has a nice purr, IMO.

Sorry I didn't take any photos - was a bit of a struggle doing this on my back in the driveway. Hard concrete and a getting-older-by-the-minute body don't get along very well. LOL!!!

FWIW, had to buzz off the bolt heads connected to the cat cuz they were rusted on fer shur and had to buzz off part of the tailpipe assembly after the old muffler just to remove it. No lift on the truck - probably a good thing cuz would've had to reach even higher, probably! Ha! Removal with all the angle grinding/cutting was about 2hrs.

Install went pretty well. Took about an hour with plenty of breaks in between (including lunch as prepared by my ever so lovely fiance, the Cat!). Frigg'in rubber hangers were a bit of a struggle... but they caved in after a thorough bath of WD-40!!

Can't w8 to take it on the highway tmo! :)

Went semi offroading. Found out how much 45psi tires suck in snow haha.

Removed both of my rear swingouts (and the shell). Rear bumper and swing outs need a little R&R soon after a harsh winter. I bet the rear of my truck is 1.5" taller without the weight of the shell and the swingouts.

Took the truck out for its shakedown run today. Worked flawlessly couldn't be happier. Time to tune up the shocks and keep takin it out.
