Just wheeling some washed out areas at an offroad park in north louisiana. I snapped one Friday night and the other one Saturday afternoon. They both broke off right at the beginning of the threads.

Haha nice pics. If they both broke at the spot is there an underlying reason why they're breaking? What's your current rear suspension setup?

You don't need beefier shocks... Just longer shocks. Those were too short and got overextended.

What was the travel on those?

Shocks don't just up and break without abuse unless they're being topped, bottomed. In all likelihood they were too short and as the axle drooped, it levered shaft and snapped them off in the frame mounts.

Proper suspension setup takes some planning.

Total travel isn't necessarily your problem. Are they bottoming at full droop is the question.

Nah you take a left just after the pit. It looks way too intimidating from the main drag but I followed a rubicon through it no problem Friday night, so we decided to hit it up on Saturday

Looks no too bad. All dirt so the worst that can happen is gettin' stuck. As long as you have recovery available, go ahead.

That was my mindset going into it. Just came out that last washout too hot.
