I've put Wheelskins in almost every vehicle I've had for many years and never had one wear out like that. Do you ever put any sort of leather treatment on it? I use Meguiars Gold Class leather cleaner and conditioner every few months and the 'skins still look like new.

In fact, I just put a Wheelskin cover on my Taco this week.

I had one in my honda that wore out after like 5 years of heavy usage (175k miles) but this one only has about 12k miles on it. I used leather protector on it a couple times but it just keeps getting worse as the days go by. The pleather is literally flaking off. I've given up on it.

    Look at build!

Looks good! I did mine in the center console to eliminate all the excess wires running through the firewall! Plus it's right at my fingertips any given moment if something quits working!

    Time for some 5100's ;)
Or if you want to wait until next week you can buy my stock shocks off me. They only have about 5,000 miles on them.

FWIW...the wheelskins site says not to use anything but mild soap and water, because most leather cleaners and conditioners will damage the coatings they have on the leather.

steering rack bushings at 210,000 miles, and an oil change. makes a HUGE difference.

thinking time for non autozone tie rod ends, and maybe even inners.

not. remove control arms, push/pull/melt them out. pop in new polys, use white lithuim to stop squaks, install in reverse order.

as for removing the bolts, you must unbolt something on the driver side (i forget what), and bend the inner fender a hair.

as for the ubj, you can TRY to hammer them out by hitting the side of the uca, or pickle fork if you want to replace the ubj boots, or even the entire ubj. id reccomend the ubj while your at it. stay away from autozone. look up moog.

I've given up on this one but I used leather protector on my honda one once a month and that one lasted much longer. I'll chalk this one up as a lemon and root for you and hope yours is better.
