Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?

I think there's one or two thin plastic washers that you'll need to keep tract of too.

Pretty sure that's where they were. I sealed up the relay box and coated everything electrical with dialectic grease too. With all the water down here in Florida I figured better safe than sorry.

    Great winch for the money.

oh, the solenoid box. sorry, i thought you were still referring to the winch itself.

i actually pulled out the o-ring in the solenoid, ran a nice thick bead of silicone in it's place after i dielectric greased the inside parts.

Yeah I saw those two washers in between the second and third planetary. What a chore that was but looks like it definitely be worth it.

Waterproofing the solenoid next, and looking for a place to mount it under the hood.

It really is, the difference when pulling line is night and day.

I had plans to kayak out to some small islands we have at a real wide point in the inter-coastal and camp there for a night or two, but the cold killed that excursion :(

Need to get you a good sleeping bag and/or some thermals. I was sweating the night we camped at Shoe Creek (10* - 15*) back in January.

sleeping wasn't really the issue, i have gear for sleeping in cold weather. we got down to -13 one of the nights at Rausch Creek.

The problem was that i was going to sit in the sand or stand in the water and drink beer while i fish all day. just have fresh fish, 3 meals a day, for a day or two. it just wouldn't have been fun with the cold and high winds we're having.
