Is it not supposed to be somewhat realistic?
As if it was very possible that something like this could happen?

I mean if it was totally fake and made up....the zombies would have learned to use assault rifles by now.

    haha...just sayin...

Don't recall any arteries being cut, or sucking chest wound, or the like. Would it have done damage? Hell yeah, but its possible. I posed the same question to my wife who is a nurse in the Navy and who deployed to Iraq twice and 'stan once - who has seen the same wounds...

    Yeah just arguing - work's slow...and BORING..

Oh, Matic - post some more of that story in the Mil thread

I think it was a center shot chest wound.
So there should have been atleast what you said.
    Sucking chest wound.
    Artery cut.
    Severed spine.

The kids all of 80 lbs soaking wet.

    And it wasnt a .22
It was a 30-30, .308, .273, .300 win mag or something else capable of killing a 100 lb deer. lol
Yea. I know what your deer look like down here. I'm used to hunting in ill, IN, OH,PA :)

center mass shot from a hunting rifle would kill him before any chance of help. but anyways...

the whole hometown next to the prison thing, they could have drove for miles down the road to get back. you guys from the south know how many little towns there are. if your walking and suviving from others you arent necessarily trying to constantly be moving. hell the show could be based on a single county and id be fine with it cuz i know sure as hell if it was to happen here i sure aint traveling down the road looking for guns n ammo. ill stay my ass at home on the farm.

    There not walking, there driving.
And a tank of gas would easily get them 300 miles, North. Where they said they wanted to go in the first place.
Small towns here arent any different than others here in the se.
If it was montana or idaho...I could see your point.

Not necessarliy, if major organs and bones were missed then it is nothing more than a very big flesh wound. However, given the time, limited resources, and infection probability, then death would have been possible, too. It IS possible to survive that kind of wound...

Agreed somewhat seeing as the bullet passed thru the deer first and then into Carl. Now were on another theory. The bullet should have broken up quite a bit coming thru the deer. So maybe he just got hit with some shrapnel. lol

NOT. The vid plainly shows the bullet cutting clean thru the deer (not hitting any bone to fragment) and slo mo into carls chest :)

So.... we can agree that the bullet entered carl at a much "slower" speed and it is very well considered that the only reason he survived......was because the "deer" saved him?

Now you are arguing... but seriously though, it is possible w/out the deer "saving" him...but then again, what would a corpsman/nurse/doc know?

On to something totally unrelated - when are you going to continue on with your tribute?
