Monte, can you update you posts on EP with the color notes? He said he is only offering tan in the black bag. I don't want people to get all uppity when they can't order a camo tent, pink rain fly and orange annex =)

Thanks again you 2 for putting this together!

I thought the same, but he said "all tents". It sounds like hes going to order a container of them, all the same color combo. Unless he has them in stock, it seems like tan/black is our go to.

Does anyone know if the Mt Bachelor has the ability to enter the tent from within the annex? From the pics it looks like you have to exit the annex and enter the tent from the outside. Not a big deal, but I was thinking about when it rains and snow it would be awesome to get inside without getting wet.

the door of the bachelor is not covered by the annex, it zips onto the bottom of the tent and even with the ladder. if you want the door to be covered by the annex you need the shasta

    SAN DIEGO SHIPPING:

For those of you interested in combining shipping in San Diego there is room for several more people (I think the limit was 4 or 5). We will need to call at one time to place our full order, so let's coordinate and make this thing happen.

We will be able to accept a bulk order depending on how many there are. We have several options:

    - Local UPS hub
    - Local commercial address here in San Diego (Pelfreybilt?)

Well figure out who will be receiving the order and where it is going. I know I would want to know who was getting my tent and where it would be located before having a $1000+ order sent to someone I didn't know and to a place I didn't know.

Purchased a Mt. Rainer this morning; I changed my mind from the Shasta and went with the bigger Rainer.

Bobby was great and I look forward to my trip to Bend in April.

I was thinking that Bobby over at CVT would get a Paypal payment from each individual separately. We'd split up the cost for shipping between a few people and include it into our payment to CVT. Then after delivery, show up to pick up the tents and go have a few drinks for a job well done.

I'll confirm a location for delivery and get back to everyone.

Tyler is a great guy and a great fabricator as well!

Order a bed rack from him and pick up the tent and rack in the same place

Does anyone know if I can save $$$ by having my order shipped to a commercial address with a group of people? I'm wondering if it's even worth it because the UPS is a little closer to me then then the commercial location.

it would be a lower rate to ship the tents in bulk to a single address - what that discount would work out to I don't know and probably wouldn't be estimated until all of the tents were purchased and a address was given so they can figure out the total weigh, etc.

You could save on shipping. They will ship up to 4 RTT's on one pallet. Thus all 4 people split the cost of the shipping that one pallet. It costs the same for them to ship the pallet regardless 1 or 4 RTT's, just depends if there is anyone in your area who also ordered a RTT, then you could coordinate a single shipping location.
