I never answer calls from them anyways, the ones I have to call back on have a 916 area code, that means one of the supervisors is pissed at me, the rest? hitting 7 on my voicemail isn't all that taxing:D

I don't answer calls from you either. I would expect that you would be used to it by now.

    Morning. Have a fun flight.
You would hate my hosue... then again it's still wired from 1980. I may have added a violation when I re-did the kitchen though . Wires for the fan above the stove were just pulled through the wall. I put them into a box in the upper cabinet and made it a microwave.

tsk tsk, microwave should be a dedicated circuit.

:D I figured that out after the fact. I can probably still do that... I just hate residential electricity. I'd much rather rewire stuff on a plane.

I need the garage rewired anyway. You would be amazed at how shotty this 80's house can be. One circuit goes from the box to the downstairs bathroom with cfgi outlet, to the upstairs bathroom, to the back outside lights into the garage. I would say the garage should have been it's own circuit.

that's fairly typical in older houses, they'd put all the bathroom receptacles on one circuit so they only have to buy one gfci. garages are supposed to have dedicated circuits.

I figured that about the garage. It shouldn't be too hard to change that circuit out if I wanted to do it myself... I almost have a straight cavity from the attic down to the box. Just need to crawl up there and fish it to the garage. Garage door opener need to be on it's own too?

Would it be easier to just install a separate box in the garage and run from there? Would it be 2 or 0ga wire out to a new box and 50-100amp breaker?

garage door openers can be on the same circuit as the rest of the garage. hard to say what would be easier without actually being there. if you want to install a sub panel in the garage run #6 on a 60A breaker, remember to remove the brass screw that connects neutral to ground in the sub panel. your local electrical authorities may or may not require a main breaker for the sub panel in the garage.

I'll call a buddy around here who does elec work. I can run it all and do majority of the work (except I don't want to touch the main panel...). I need to finish sheetrocking the garage soon too.
