You might want to PM him. He's not subbed to any threads, so he won't see your message unless he happens to check this thread.

As I've learned over the last few days, you better have an awesome PC to keep up with this camera.

I started off installing the software on my laptop, which is fast, but not fast enough. Good thing I upgraded my PC recently.

My PC, which is a Intel I5 3570k Overclocked to 4.0 GHz, 32 gigs of ram, R7850 Twin Frozr 2GD5 video, Duel Samsung 250GB SSD's, and Gigabyte z77x-ud3h Mobo w/USB 3.0 ports.

It runs beautifully with the above setup. The options on the camera are crazy. I have yet to even scrape the surface of what it's capable of.

I love the Wifi remote that came with it. There is an app for your smartphone that you can also connect to the camera, see what the camera sees on your phone as well as do all of the controls from your phone.

If you have a damn good PC, go for it. Just make sure you get all the accessories that I didn't. I only have the suction cup mount, and I didn't get the cable that connects it to the HDTV.

This big purchase is going to get more expensive as I buy accessories.

I will try to remember in the morning and check what the labor time guide says.

I love looking at those gopro cameras and drooling. I'd love to have one. Sounds like you are going to be ready for some serious fun soon Dave, once we get all your new accessories mounted and installed!

Agreed with Dave, My computer struggles editing the video and the best video player I found for it is VLC media player. The remote and the phone app are great additions and fix the 2 things I didn't like the most about my Hero2.

Everything has been shipped, except for the bumper, the main component IMO. Going to give him a call after work today and see if he can give me an estimate.

LTG shows 5.8 for front and 5.9 hours for rear. So you will be looking at $261 and $265. If you want to do both front and rear down here, then I will do the pair for $475. Just let me know when because we will have to get you scheduled in.
