Whining noise in neutral!

My truck has whined in neutral for a while now, but today is got worse. It got super loud. I put the truck in drive then back to neutral again and it stop. I am not sure if all the tacomas whine or is it just mine?

hahahah im tellin ya man... its just hidden.. check behind the flux capasitor. its there.

but really... your a manual or auto? i will take it auto since you said put it in drive. whats your fluid level at in the tranny?

hahaha fuck... i keep forgetting about those new sealed mofo's. awesome idea, bad on practicality. take it to toyota and ask them if they can hit it with the scan gauge and see if it is low. notice any leaks from the trans anywhere? any small drips under the trans after being parked for a while?

 

I have not seen any leaks and I have looked, I have been all over the pig looking for leaks and at the frame.

 

you ever try to shift the truck like it has a manual valve body in it?

(meaning shifting from first to second and second to third... but doing it while the truck is like floored.)

 

No so much, I run it in 1st and 2nd alot when I climbing and going down hills. But I haven't shifted like I was racing it.

 

ah well... it could be a stretched band in the trans. you noticing any late shifts? or does it kick any harder when it shifts?

yep. take it in and let toyota deal with it if you have less than 30k on it. that isnt that old to already be having troubles with it.

 

hahahaha. once again... a idea that looked awesome on paper... not so much in practical application. but hey... its making it so they can only be serviced by toyota... revenue my friend.
