That should be fun. I've never been but my family has gone several times. The pictures they come back with are awesome. Seems like a very nice country. We're going to Alaska :)

You'll like them for DD duty. We had them on our work trucks ( came stock). Were good on road, but punctured easily. We were driving most of the time off road under existing transmission lines on "roads" made from uncompacted trap rock or along alignments for proposed lines though. The trap rock was killer, and so was running over random shit and construction debris, so take it with a grain of salt.

They did have pretty decent off road traction as well. Was not impressed with now traction though.

I'm pumped. Alaska sounds awesome too. I assume you're doing a cruise? I heard they were sweet.

Nope, no cruise. One of her friends is getting married out there so we're going out, spending 10 days there, hitting up the wedding, then coming home. We'll do mini-excursions while were there but mostly driving around ourselves and doing whatever we want. Since we actually know people that live there, we have pretty good guides.

The DR is awesome. We went to Punta Cana and had a good time. The island is very very very (yes three very) poor. They had armed guards on the beach with automatic weapons but we never had an issue. We left the resort and toured the island with no issues. They love people from Boston cause of the Sox

    Wow, lots of vacation talk.

Been to Alaska on a cruise, but desperately want to go back. Its pretty awesome that you are going for 10 days with people that know the area. I am not sure if you fish, but the fishing expedition I did there was one of the coolest things Ive ever done in my life.

DR is a fun trip. I was there for a wedding in Dec 2011. Punta Cana was awesome, but as mentioned above, its extremely poor. We stayed on resort but had a blast.

This summer, the wife and I are planning a Germany/Ireland trip. My brother in law is stationed in Germany with my sister for the next 3 years so we want to visit her then meet up with some friends in Ireland for a few days. Nothing set in stone yet, still planning it out
