We rarely got them in Oregon... then again we didn't get a lot of snow in the valley.

I only remember school being closed once - and that was because it was 20 something below and the boiler at the school broke

They never used to cancel school much here, especially in the city. This year they became a bunch of pussies and have canceled school 3 times. Only one of which was warranted.

You were lucky. We lived for three months in a brown paper bag in a septic tank. We used to have to get up at six o'clock in the morning, clean the bag, eat a crust of stale bread, go to work down mill for fourteen hours a day week-in-week-out. When we got home, out Dad would thrash us to sleep with his belt!

So, you lived in SF slums during the gold rush? Or just SAC all the time...

One scam text and another, probably from a vehicle history reporting company. The girl pretended to be interested, but only if I had a history report. She mentioned a certain one several times. I ended up getting one from another company and sent it to her. She never responded.

BTW, sorry about the harassment yesterday with Connor. We really were trying to get a rise out of Curt.

    How's the MT?

    yes.

ok, my elementary school (K-7) was ~100 yards from my house, but the fact remains I walked to school every day... literally every day, perfect attendance from kindergarten through to grade 7.

    sounds like typical CA

well that sucks. CL can be hit or miss though. I sold my Subie in less than 72 hours and had 3 people fighting for it! I know I was lucky there.

And no harm done. I know you guys were just kidding. You think I've lasted this long around here if I didn't have a sense of humor?

MT is good...starting to look a little like spring around here. Looking foward to a winter trip to Yellowstone this weekend.

During the Gold Rush there were no schools, just brothels, saloons and a few churches

I think this may be our last winter hurrah. Snow here today, maybe an inch or two. Chad in DC is up to 4 and climbing rapidly. Supposed to be 52 Saturday.

Found a couple of vehicles I am am interested in. A few 2000-2003 4Runners with 105-130k on the clock. Just found a nice VW Jetta, new 2012 on sale for 23,600 with 0% for 66 months. Not sure about not having a truck/SUV though.

Jetta? So you're gonna be like Fred? :D

4runners wouldn't be bad...similar to a taco so you wouldn't be starting from scratch in the knowledge/troubleshooting department
