Do any of you intelligent camera people know what my camera may be worth (Nikon D70s)? I got it for a photography class that I never ended up taking and now it just sits in my room. Figure I shall sell it...

Check out what the D70s is going for used on Adorama, B&H photo and of course Amazon and base it off those prices. What condition it's in will affect the price a bit too.

I bought it used from a camera store and I got a good deal for it because I was a student...and they messed up the sale and accidentally sold it cheaper than they should have :D It was in good condition when I bought it and I haven't used it so I assume it's still in good condition.

Thanks for the advice, I will check those sites.

Probably get a couple hundo out of it then. I'm guessing though. Just see what they're going for used and put it up for a fair price. Photography gear goes decently quick if the price is fair.

Hang out here and we'll help you learn how to use it :D

www.keh.com is another spot to check used prices. You will make more if you can sell it privately. www.dgrin.com (requires registration) has a flea market-just keep in mind that a one post sale might get some skeptical requests-PM me if you decide to do that.

It could be real. I'm sure that NASA had spotter aircraft above the clouds. Pretty cool either way.

It's fake. The engines aren't even lit...

I've flown launch azimuth surveys for Altas V launches and seen them come up through a cloud layer. The glow from the engines is visible before the rocket even pops up through the cloud.

Suction cup? I could never trust one of those.

On topic: any good versatile camera bags you guys suggest? I would like to pack my E-410 and my gopro3 together.

how is that off topic? I dont know, ive used the suction cup on the side of our boat going 40mph+ and on trucks romping through the desert. I thought driving through my neighborhood getting sn exhaust video would hold up just fine.

Depending on what type of bag you want...

I always put Domke bags at the top of my list. Theyre the best over the shoulder bags money can buy (in the competitive price range)

I have the Domke F-3X and i love it. It holds my D700, battery grip, 14-24mm, 50mm, and 70-200 if i need to.

    After domke, ,check out lowepro.

This is what i want for my next bag.

I'm a fan of F-Stop's Loka backpack. It loads from the back for gear and top for accessories or jacket. Tripod goes on the side or back.

When I'm on the move, I find the shoulder bag to be difficult at best. The backpack can be a pain too since it loads from the back-but I'm happy with that. I use a medium insert which leaves me room for a jacket and couple of snacks if needed.
