Lol you don't wheel hard enough to worry about gashing the side walls. That should be the least of the worries..

I think your underestimating ATs..they are great tires..There are very few situations where really a MT is worth it over an AT..ironically..must of us don't find ourselves in those situations. I have a couple times..and i hated it later(cleaning the truck).

In short, we usually buy them i think more for the looks

And since you always preach form over function..i say save your money and just get the legendary tough BFG A/Ts KO. They are excellent tires.

    x2 on AT's.
AT/KO's or michelin LTX AT/2's. Underrated but awesome AT's

I don't think you have forest trails or sharp rock trails to worry about..

    or get MT/RK's :)

find glacier and then go to the north east corner of the park, its the only paved road up there

hmmm...might have to add that to my glacier trip itinerary this year.

    yes

idk how it works because of your tire size, but I noticed a huge difference from when I went from LTX AT/2's to KM2's...

What are you going to do... Go wheeling in a car? That is why I have a truck, offroading!

Southeast Idaho is full of sharp lava rock. The trail in Shelley that I took Ben on last year (when I destroyed my rear bumper) is known for shredding sidewalls.

The ATs are practially the same side wall wise..

Im not saying never get them again. Im am saying for this round. Don't bother with an MT. You openly admit all the time to waiting to really get into the build. Its still too much of a DD. So..Why waste the money? save the buck for an extra couple tanks of gas. There is nothing your going to be doing in the next 3 years or so that are going to require MTs. They will require 33s more then an MT. If you not getting a 33..dont even bother with the MT.

    Thats how i see..

    Chances of Ben going there....0.00000000000000000000000002345234523416324163

    Yea thats the Hot Tub

Yeah. Ben drives down to Idaho Falls on occasion. He met up with me to ride along with me that day, he just didn't have his Tacoma with him that time.

Either way. Haven't been yet. And bfg ats aren't at any less risk the. A km2. Plus how do you know th rt03 has nice side walls?

Also side not about the st's

I had em on my old Toyota and my dad had em on his old gmc. They were a great tire. Can't say a ton about the STTs other then my dads do great and my buddy has em on his tundra and he says they dig supper good. Had another friend that liked em a lot on his 99 tacoma.

Not a bad tire I think.

True. Was going to mention that you can get E rated A/T's. I forgot to add that in for some reason earlier. haha
