Good Day to all you tw guys out there.
I have a quick question for you.

I have 82k miles on my 2006 trd

I am getting ready to change the fluids in my truck. ( front and rear diff, coolant , trans. case and maybe tranny oil also)

I have the oils covered as far as draining and filling however i was wondering what brand of oils would be the best and also what coolant do you guys find works best.

Or maybe i am just over thinking this whole thing and i should just get over the fact that i love my truck and what the best for it and should just fill the damn thing and run it !!!!!!!!!!!

Any advise, tips , tricks and hints to make the job slick and smooooooth.

Thanks guys and have a good day !

For one thing, you CANNOT service your own transmission because it is sealed. I used mobil1 75W-90 in everything and it works great. With any solid synthetic product you will be just fine.

I did not do my coolant so I am interested in those responses as well!

no no no.. do not just fill it and run it. lol. im a huge fan of lucas full synthetic race oils (prolly cuz they sponsor me and its free lol) but ive never had a issue with them. always come out just a few shades darker than i put them in even after 3k miles or so. great oils and awesome prices. if you cant find that around you... look for royal purple.

ohhhh heck yes... you have that new tranny with the world whatever oil in it. its supposed to be a 100k oil. good shit. but when it comes time for the change on it. it has to go to toyota. it takes a scan guage to measure how much is in it and only toyota has that gauge. that is like a 400 dollar tranny lube job lol.

yea i had a contract with them for my truck... after one run (even a pre run) we would drain the oil and it would come out like water. fuck that.

    yup.

same here, just a normal day of riding (less than 2 hours on the bike for the whole day) i would drain the oil just a thin and dark as if i had ran a 24 hour enduro or baja.

i lost alot of engines and smoked many clutches on that stuff.
the money i saved in oil went right back into parts.
