I have a DC for the ease of moving more bodies.

I got an access cab.. I dont carry bodies,, and enough room for my beagle or stuff. easy to get around in the woods or parking lot. Would be nice to have a DC.

Double cab. If you have kids an AC isn't a practical long term vehicle if you travel anywhere as a family, or at least it wasn't for me. I felt bad every time we crammed my six year old in the back seat in his booster so the AC had to go. Traded my AC for a DC in Jan and couldn't be happier...only wished I would have gotten the DC from the start.

Access cab looks the best. Dont need room for 4 but like extra rooms for guns tools and cases of beer.

    2010 DCSB...then
    2012 DCSB...now

I'd consider a reg cab if it was not my DD...just a tool for truck duty

access cab is not gonna happen...dislike the suicide doors.

DC for passengers and access to the back.

Had a 2 door access cab S-10 before my Tacoma, and threw my back out lifting a small rototiller out from the access cab. Had to stretch and lift at the same time, wouldn't have happened with a double cab!

Double cab has my vote. Not just for the hell of it since I own but I do have real reasons.

#1. I carry more stuff in the interior (luggage/gear/etc) than in the bed and the folded down rear sets function better than the smaller space of the access cab.

#2. I drive more than 1 person around often.

#3. I don't have the need to haul anything (so bed space doesn't matter) and of course if I did I would just get a DCLB.

    Order of appearance for giggles:
Reg cabs (decked out) look slightly better than DC, then last place is the 2nd gen access cab. The roof shape looks off to me, just like they did on the 1st gen xtra cab with that "hump" in the roof.

Not discounting any reg cab or access cab buyers, just giving my opinion in the realm of my particular application and tastes

I voted reg cab. But I have access to multiple vehicles. For a 1 taco owner, id say access cab.
The full size supercab is nice , tows and such, but I have the most fun in the reg cab Tacoma. Seems to cost nothing to run and own, but a bit of gas.

First taco was AC traded and got a DC because I got married and knew kids would be coming after that. Prefer the DC over the AC.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I would have gone reg cab but the seats didn't go back far enough for me and I travel 4 hours each way to home and college. And if I ever get drowsy I can pull over, recline my seat back and nap. Seats in my AC recline back flat and are comfy enough for a short nap. If it was for a wheeling rig, would definitely be a reg cab.
