I've been thinking about doing this since I like the orange ours already has but I'd like it brighter. Are they noticeably brighter?

Pretty sure your truck wasn't that color.

I think his Horizon Blue Metallic and yours was (RIP) Pewter Pearl.

I could be wrong... and if so, just ignore this post and pretend it never happened.

But if I'm right, just admit I'm awesome.

So I played with the tuning on my 7th injector this evening and I ended up having to turn the injector completely off. It's set to come on at 6000rpm at 7.5psi which is higher than I can go. The AFR is still only running at around 11:1-11.5:1. I tried taking my air filter completely out just to see if it was dirty and choking it down but it didn't make as big of a difference as I had hoped for. So now I'm going to stop by the auto part store and pick up some MAF cleaner. If cleaning the MAF doesn't work then I'm not real sure where to go next. Any suggestions?

Nope, monte is right. Both of our trucks is/was "cool steel metallic" aka "lavender steel metallic." The color just looks different is different lighting.

But horizon blue is a much bluer color.

Edit...oh and my truck info says what color it is right there

I'm sure your CV needs replaced but that isn't the root of your problem.

Well he sells them. He is one of the top dealers in the country for ARB products. Best customer service on the planet from a guy that really knows his stuff if you can't tell by his personal collection of vehicles.

Those are his personal vehicles. He and I were building our FJ40s at the same time almost 14 years ago. I no longer have mine but his (the blue one) is still going strong. The grey 100 Series Land Cruiser is a recent acquisition but it is built to the gills with the latest and greatest overland equipment. The super killer FJ45 pickup is his wife's and an ongoing restoration project. His Tacoma is one of the best equipped out there IMO. Not built for hardcore rockcrawling but it sure does well at about everything he points it at.

Call a local axel shop, be cheaper and faster than any other option. Most places have to order our cvs.

Until you get the wheel off and take a complete look at what's going on it could be anything from a busted cv knuckle to your hub being gone.

Get in there and get some pics/vids of what's going on. We might be able to give you some direction but not without more insight.

How does everything else feel? Start grabbing things and shaking them. Just the wheel? The lca? The r&p?

    We need more info!

Ok cool . I'll try cleaning it then if that doesn't work then I'll replace it and hopefully that fixes the problem. Thanks.

If I paint the bottom part of the inside of the headlight will it reduce light output? Is this part of the reflector. I have decided against a retro fit.

I have TYC from keystone. $30 each but I have a connection. Normally $50 each. You could try Certifit
