Im becoming very concerned with my alignment. After two different shops attempted it neither one got it right  I've found a couple good threads on this but, I would like a straight answer from someone hopefully tonight. Im running a 3'' lift with LR UCA's and I set my UCA's to the "neutral position with is setting D (what is recommended) My truck is going back again first thing in the morning and maybe I can point him in the right direction with some actual numbers I can print off and give to him. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be awesome. Also I will get the spec sheet where it is set or going to be set at tomorrow and maybe someone can help us fine tune it. PLEASE HELP!!

    Caster 3.0

There's a chart (I think it comes with installation instructions) that shows what each letter does.

Thank you OZ! Do you think I could just copy those numbers down and give them to the tech tomorrow and just have him make it close to that? I know every truck is different and you seem to know plenty about this subject...Also having him set the BJ to +2 position??

Generally people set the LR UCA's to the neutral ( +2 ) setting , letter D on the chart

Make sure the tech is aware he/she can adjust camber on the UCA as well

I also suggest you read the OP in the thread I linked for some good info

Also I do have the instruction sheet and gave to each tech..its like they dont wanna read it however...But, the BJ should be in the correct position at D which is +2 on caster side of things. Basically I just want to make sure the BJ is in the correct position then all that needs to be touched is the camber on the UCA

In the D position , the SPC logo will be facing out

Why can't you use factory numbers?

I'm also curious why don't they just leave the UCA alone and adjust the cater and camber with the LCA like they're supposed to.

The LR UCA's have an adjustable ball joint to add caster , this leaves the full amount of adjustment at the LCA's to fine tine the alignment

Seems pointless to me. There should be no need for an adjustable ball joint. All the "fine tuning" can be done with the lower control arm.

Most aftermarket UCA's have added caster built in , as do these but they are adjustable

So , you're saying you can lift 3" and get a correct alignment with stock UCA's ?
