Just remember you need all the electronics that go with it .
I'm not sure how the 1st gens are wired up but I'd do your homework before throwing money at it .

Ya, ecu, switch, taco axle housing. 4runner axle housing is slightly wider IIRC.

What year is the 4runner and your truck. I should be able to tell you if they interchange.

96+, didn't give exact year, mines an 02. 4runners have coils in the rear anyways, so unless i welded on leaf perches the housing would be useless. Just have to part it out and keep the 3rd/elocker

I know,i need to run 3 cables and a 10 awg wire from the winch to the solenoid and then run new power cables from the solenoid to the battery.
Also going to tap off the remote plug and run a wire into the cab for the in/out switch.

And I hate that LOL, that's my riding time I'll scare all them bucks away. We've had our fair share of hunter encounters they typically scream at us.

Ahh, got it. I'm not sure, I know you need an ecu out of a elocker equipped vehicle though. It's probably not worth it in the end. Would need trd axle housing, axles with correct splines, etc...

Pfft... buy now, figure out how to make it work later :)

If it works out well and they end up getting MPG gains, I might consider it. Cheap MPG gains and a better protected intake.

I've had that experience with the hunters. My buddies and I came down the trail, turned a corner and some hunter had his shotgun up and pointed right at us! He never shot but we turned around in a hurry and high tailed it home. We knew the land owner and had permission to be there, the land owner called the cops but nothing ever came of it. One of the scariest moments of my life, staring right down the barrel of a 12 ga. I was leading so I was the first one to see him.

That's what I've got also. It's a 1" or 1.5" OD solid steel bar with a square end that goes to a point. Mine's only 5' though. I've got a 4' section of pipe for a cheater bar also :D

Thanks. Whatever, by the time I get up there it will be later anyways. Probably won't leave NJ till around 5-530. So I wont be up in MA area until around 830-9 or so. Plus i'm in my truck and my tires do well in the slop
