    The bend on the sides does help keep the skid from bending around the edges and makes them more stiff. Trying bending a piece of 1" x 3/16" flat and then try bending the equivalent in angle. The angle is harder to bend. By bending the edges up, it's like incorporating a piece of angle on the edge of the skid.

    I just noticed the cut outs in the pic for the clevis mounts. Is that part of the kit or was that a custom add on? Looks cool either way.

    without researching me thinks they replace that AL sub bumper with something for the winch and it includes these frame mount points as well.

    that's MadToy's rig...even more bad ass now with 35s and a brute rear HC bumper on it :cool:

    i think he said they were after though, but i think they can add them if desired, but idk

    I believe it does. But not going to keep it from bending. Ill try and find a pic of what im taling about. You weld the angle onto the skid in the cent so it forms a triangle.

    I know what you're talking about and yes, that does increase the rigidity of the skid. I'm just saying that the bend on the edge does help keep the skid from bending. (emphasis on help)

    If the bend weren't there, the skid would bend and deform with even less force than it already takes.
