I wish they had heated mirrors and the back windows in the access cab to open. Other than that I love it.

The only thing that really bothers me is the fact that I have an SR5 and it doesn't even tell you what your fuel mileage is or distance to empty. For gods sake I bought my mom a el cheapie 06 Chevy Cobalt years ago even it had the fuel trip info stuff.

I think the seating position should be far better the seat needs to be an inch higher I feel like my ass is on the floor of the truck direct injection and turbo like the ford eco boost motors and it would be the perfectest trucks on the planet ( I have the 2.7 but turbo and DI goes for both motors )

Yeh.. I like the basicness of the Taco sometimes because it typically means that they are either worrying more about the important and big stuff, or they are afraid to mess with a good thing.

That being said I spent $80 to add an Ultragauge and it's frickin' way better than anything I've seen in much more expensive cars for MPG monitoring.

Considering I went from a motorcycle to the Taco as my primary driver, I can only say this: If you don't like a bit of wind when the window is down.. NEVER buy a motorcycle or convertible. It's not for you my friend. :p

The fact it's priced as a full size, when getting the Trd 4x4 (access cab).

Same here with the DC. They had a 4x4 Tundra double cab(sr5...) with upgraded wheels and tires in the showroom when I got my Taco.. I'll admit I thought about it.. but it was just too big and I was sure I wanted a smaller truck. I do not understand about the gas mileage though. Something doesn't make sense with that..

One of the nineteen cup holders should be square, to hold my carton of coconut water. maybe a future mod.

I'll repeat what was said before---

    1) Crappy tires!!!!

2)Paint job is sub par---I only have 400 miles on mine an I have a couple of small scratches. Seems to scratch really easy. I wonder what it's going to look like in 10 years. My Sports trac was 11 years old and the paint looked great!

    3) No door sill protector.

4)Door controls do not light up-- only the driver window control that says auto on it.

I'm basically comparing it to my wife's 2012 4runner that seems to be built a lot better--inside and out.

You know you can go to Homedepot or Lowes and buy their traction adhesive safety strips, almost like a sand paper with adhesive backing, which is about the length of the door sill, but double the width. You can then cut it in half length wise and use it for both sides of the car. It does not come in contact with the bottom of the plastic on the door so no scratches or damages.

    1. No power rear window (i know about benwa's mod i just wished toyota had something like that already built in i could have paid for in the price of the truck)
    2. No sun roof
    3. I don't like the auto trans it just shifts really weirdly
No issues with performance, just functionality

just take out one of the two (side by side) rubber cup holders in front of the stick shift. Then you have a square holder...
