    I was just given a super old cb radio, if I were to buy a good antenna setup and have a quality tech tune it for me, is there any reason it might not work well? Assuming the unit isn't broken to begin with...

    Ive been meaning to do that to my transmission skid..

    depending on the quality of the "super old cb" i was given one too that was a hand held with a 12" antenna. when I tried talking to my truck's cb with it i didnt even make a noise. threw it right in the garbage. a nice cb setup isnt that much money. I like my cobra 75 because I dont have to have a box sitting in the cab.
