What does hydrolock mean in a shock? So much force at once that the shock couldn't absorb it all fast enough and bent?

Means his shocks were put back together incorrectly or thats another possiblity? ,If rebuilt shocks incorrectly the Internal floating piston IFP was set at a wrong depth, shock compressed and the Ifp went all the went to end of the reservior and since oil cannot compress the shock couldnt compress anymore and shock bent shaft.

that were the case it would just blow the end of the reservoir. basically the shaft was moving faster then the valving could flow, causing it to hydro-lock. normally only happens when you go with custom valving set up; ie rate plates.

Do you guys think i could clear a double bypass in this space? I now have smaller tires and 1.25" wheel spacers than what is pictured.

My current shocks are 36" ext and 24" collapsed, all new King and Fox 12's seem to be 33" ext and about 21" collapsed which would help with up-travel especially if i go SUA which would lower the rear about 1.5-2" from what it is now from my measurements

Any of you guys running the defined engineering SUA kit with a shackle flip kit and longer shackles? The website says that the kit only provides 2" of lift and I would like to at least maintain 3", possibly 4" to be able to clear larger tires and at the moment longer shackles with a shackle flips seems to be the only way I can think of to get more lift. I just worry about how it will affect the kits performance.

Yes, If your not set on king or Fox I can have ADS build a set with the tubes front and rear and it won't affecf the width at all. ADS is real easy to work with when it comes to custom tube placement.

    PM me if your interested

In most cases cheaper than the big 3 , but have nicer features. Caps for the Schrader valves, resi caps are threaded not a snap ring, plated and clear powdercoated bodies.

Their OEM shock prices are considerably lower.

Retail on a 2.5 double bypass is 645 ea, but for anyone from TW I would sell at racer pricing which is 10% off

Anyone remember the name of that book written on suspension geometry and design? The one that is considered to be like the Bible for home builders.
