noticeable but workable. Get up around 3k rpm and over and just a tad slower. Getting to 2k rpm is definitely noticeable. Still can run the same shift points for the driving I do around town. I've noticed that I'm driving more like a grandpa with them than the 265s. I need to take it out on the interstate to see how it handles both with steering and acceleration. I am looking forward to regearing to 4.56 and even considering 4.88 since I'm not doing the long distance traveling I used to do. Not in a hurry though.

Cab fare for the Truck is one cookie per ride. ;)

Keebler's is a fine substitute. Fudge stripes and grasshoppers are most welcome. This is why I'm fat.

Not keen on 255s in the desert, wider tire = better float in the washes and sand. There's lots of arguments for and against regarding rock crawling. Haven't tried 255s but from my mtb experience I know trying to pedal through a wash on a 2.25"-2.5" knobby makes much more sense than a 23-25mm road tire. Also, for rock crawllng, an aired down tire with a wider tread will conform more to the rock surface getting the combined effect of increased contact patch and contour grip.

The 255 will provide less problems with rubbing on the frame and fenders.

Yeah, lucky it isn't Friday the 13th. I hear rumour that Freddy pays a visit to all panda bear drivers and gives 'em nightmares of Jason Voorhees killing FedEx delivery guys and stealing all packages sent from ECGS.

    oh, and Yay!

Let me know if you need help. Silas' help would be most beneficial but I can come by and lend a useless hand and opinion. Maybe a knitting light too.

BTW, with the talk of new gears and my present mood of impending death due to sinus stabbing, I'm seriously resisting spending stoopid amounts of money on truck stuff. 4.56 and a front locker would be nice...

Hmmm, 4.56 or 4.88. I'm really getting to the point where I won't be taking the truck on a lot of long road trips. And of course, I'm rethinking KM2s or Duratracs.

    Must resist. must resist.

I'm logging off now. I was looking at pictures of XJs flexing and I'm hankering for a solid axle up front. Nighty-night.

Hey I'm pretty sure we may need a garage. Unless Silas likes his own drive way lol. You're more than welcome to come. As soon as Silas tells me when he wants to do it ill let you know. Always enjoy the company of friends :)

And just get it! Shit or get off the pot ;)

OK, I didn't log off. The garage is here if you need it. Just need a heads up so I'm not hogging it up with a torn apart truck.

I'm pricing stuff up this weekend. Thinking I'm going to do it in May for my berfday. Ordering some other stuff in the meantime (compressor, 60" hilift, CB, floormats, etc.)
