Could I make the argument my prerunner is more capable in the snow then a stock 4*4

    Yeah, that's true. They somehow made it to where they were going without 4WD. I remember talking to the old guy that owned the Antlers bar in Yampa, he told me the bar was built there in 1890, and he had driven up there in 1930 to work in the coal mines in a Ford Model T. He said it took him 12 hours to drive from Idaho Springs to Yampa. That sounded like a little bullshit, but just the fact that he made it from Idaho Springs to Yampa in less than 24 hours in a Model T was pretty impressive. In 1930? Hell, it takes 2 hours right now as we speak over US 40.

    Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
    Yeah, it's like trying to compare apples to oranges, two completely different animals. I've been in snow with my 4x4 already that no 2x4 could ever hope to make it through. Chain up all 4 on a 4x4 and you go anywhere pretty much.

    You gotta remember, top speed on a Model T was like 25 miles per hour lol, I could see it taking some time.

    That old dude Mike that owned the Antlers was a character. His wife was a sweetheart, he was a crotchety old dude. Back in those days they owned the only liqour outlet and bar in Yampa, so they had a stranglehold. His wife would serve food, they had a huge kitchen in the back of the bar, she was a sweetheart. After she passed away he tried to hang on, but it wasn't the same. Steamboat Springs got a little more trendy, Oak Creek and Hayden got methy, VERY METHY, it just wasn't the same. Just a little history lesson for anybody that's interested.

    Why would FWD be better? You have no weight over the rear end. If you hit some ice and slip might as well not even bother to recover, because that ass end is coming out.

    That's because you have no experience driving one in the snow , they are very well behaved .

    4x4 = better, next is FWD, last is rear wheel drive.

    What is the argument? I had a subaru that I never got stuck, through the south(mud), the NE etc.
    I had an expedition 2x4 for that I had to through chains on if it thought about getting below 32. I had an accord that was phenomenal in the snow as far as front wheel drive goes.
    But the best ride in snow has been the 4x4 taco, hands down.

    Yeah, FWD handles great in the snow. My old man's got a Jetta with Blizztech's on it and quite honestly, I'd rather drive it on icy roads than my truck. There's a reason they don't make RWD cars anymore (aside from muscle cars and such) it's because they suck in the snow. I had a 74 Monte Carlo and it was like a toboggan in the snow, was okay with studs, but without, it was scary.
