Damn you, Tacoma World

So I had planned on detailing my '11 Taco today. Got started on the interior. Wound up pulling all four seats and the center console out, routing an aux line from the aux plug to my phone holder, and doing a couple of paint mods. Finally got the interior put back together right after dark, with no time left to wash or wax....

TacomaWorld is giving me too many ways to avoid doing what I set out to do. LOL

 

That happens...

I have to pull my seats too - just to get all the shit out form under them.

I spend way too much time in that truck...

 

are you taking about an aux line for the stereo?

Did you run it from behind the dash to your phone holder?

Hahaha , I was thinking the same thing

 

No unfortunately. I ran a cable from the aux input. Ran it up behind the stereo and out the top, where I used a Dremel to take a small corner out of the stereo surround so the wire can come through. Also ran my cell charger cable through the same way. My phone dock is suctioned to the windshield.

Hopefully this mod will only have to last me a couple months, because I am planning on getting a new stereo with Bluetooth, which would mean I wouldn't need an aux cable to stream music from my phone.

 

5min with a 14mm socket and a small flathead screwdriver.

I'm sure there's a colony of french fries waiting to be discovered.

Makes quick work of the plastic snap locks for the wiring connectors under the seat.
That's all.

No issue with the seat air bags ? Do you need to disconnect the battery negative first ?
