    No hate there brother, i'll be 19 in April :anonymous: I've been paying for gas,taxes,oil changes,mods. Im grateful as well as i couldnt afford my beast. You must be raking in the dough man. :eek: I want to get an ARB bumper and suspension next.... It's a long ways away, got my projectors done so thats one major mod down. So many more to go.

    Nice! I really like your projectors (wish I wasn't so scared to do the BHLM...)

    But apart from my sliders, which I'm getting installed on Tuesday, I'm pretty much done with mods for a long while, as far as the big stuff. I have my future plans in my OP, and the rear bumper, skids (maybe), tires, and UCA's will be in 3-4 years most likely. Hopefully I will be starting my long-awaited career at or around that time as well...

    The BHLM is a piece of cake, taking off that "hell screw" to take the headlights off the truck to me was the hardest part. I've had to open them up once more to clean the dust and moisture out and re-seal them for good. I am very satisfied with where the lights stand at night. :cool:

    I Plan on getting a ARB Bumper, some type of Rear bumper, suspension and prepare for the career that awaits me in the future. Money is so hard to get ahold of it seems. :p

    Yeah, I have thought about buying and sealing some eGay BHLM headlights, but now that I have the DO with the 3 hoops, taking my headlights off would be an annoying project. I don't mind the look of the OEM smoked lights either, so it's all right.

    You thinking OME? That's probably what I would've gone with if I had to do it again, instead of going from stock to leveling kit then to what I have now. If you're putting an ARB (and winch?) and rear plate, that's what suspension I would get.

    They have been really good in the few off-road situations I've been in, and the on-road performance is on-par from what you expect from a M/T. They are fairly loud (but I usually play music or have my windows down and don't really notice it) and they have decent traction on-road. Some people complain about their performance in the rain, but I have never felt like I wasn't going to not stop or hydroplane, so I don't really have anything to complain about there. The wear has been decent, but I've only have them on for about 4K miles now.

    I also drive like a old woman, so that may contribute to how I am able to always stop easily and not feel any loss of traction. :rolleyes:

    Matt Ive still got the carcasses of
    those depo lights that i demolished attempting my bhlm/projector install. You can use them to mess around with/keep/destroy whatever floats your boat. Burt is waiting on my shrouds to come in then my retros will be done :yay:

    Did you ever get the bamf bracket on? If not get a big drill bit and a good drill to make it fit :D

    Mine is a week after America's birthday (7/11)...I get free Slurpee's on my birthday :D

    I could try doing that if you don't want them anymore, but really the only thing I don't like about the stock headlights is the stupid yellow tint around the turn signal markers. I have a feeling I will be very jealous of your headlights when they come in...

    Yeah, I was able to shift the lightbar brackets a little and then I used my inner redneck and used four washers on either side of the lightbar to make it work.

    Ah damn, I gotcha now...I ordered another set from him with measurements to fit mine with the Line-X and everything (I was able to sell my other set) and I PM'd yesterday and he's supposed to be getting it out this week I think.

    In other news, I will now have the strongest set of sliders around...I totally spaced and left 5 bare metal spots on my sliders for the shop to weld the legs onto...with only 8 legs provided :eek: So of course, they assumed there were five legs per side and started with one side (welded 5 legs on) before they realized how many legs they had total. I dropped my brother's truck off for the same treatment, and so now I will have 5 legs on each side, and I will order some more legs for Avid to get my brother up to speed.

    I assume this could only be bad because it means my frame will likely fail before the slider does?

    AVID OFFROAD SLIDERS

    I had High Tech Auto in Chantilly weld on and install my sliders for me today. Very happy with the angle and product, seems to be very stout and high quality.

    They will probably be in 2-3 years when I plan on getting new tires and a rear bumper...I may also upgrade to 886's then so I can support all the weight on the front end. I have heard some say 5100's are ok with 886's and some that say no :confused:

    Got a used full size spare General Grabber HTS (LT 265/75/16) today. Probably about 75% tread left and got it for $65. Not a bad deal because I just wanted a cheap full size spare anyway.

    It was really easy, at least for me. The guy took my regular spare off and mounted the other in about 10 minutes, I paid $73 for everything, and I will probably be able to sell my old tire for $150, so I will be making money.

    I bet you're going to have a hell of a time fitting a 33 underneath the 1st Gen bed :frusty:

    Haha it'll cost me about $300 for a matching rim and tire... As for making it fit, there are 2 metal "hooks" that line the stock spare up into the mount. As far as I know you just cut them off and it'll go right up. But we'll see...
