I have a few, but they're projects more than anything.
    I'm thinking about selling them.

here's my XTM racing project, all it needs is a steering servo, and a transmitter/receiver and it's good to go, i'm just to cheap to fix it

A buddy went, he waited a half hour to get off the freeway, 2 hours to get from the off ramp to the gates, and there was a 2 hour line to get in the building.
He turned around and left after he saw the line

I'm not sure if it was purposeful, or if there were just a lot of people who wanted to go.
Maybe they wanted to find a AR for under $5,000

Why not just build your own. The AR's that they sell at the show either have the stupid stripper clips or a button in a button to eject the mag. You can get uppers for a decent price right now and build your own lowers, under some old 100 year law it allows you to build one gun a year. So there are guys out there that have machines that can build the lowers for a couple hundred dollars but they just won't push the button on the machine. So if you do it's your gun, the only problem with those AR's is that they won't have a serial number on them so you can never sell them but you can pass them down in your family. So you can get an Ar for about $1000 or less if you find a good deal on an upper.

    This^^
Ares armor in Oceanside does the machining on the 80% lowers, but they're back ordered past July.

Building a upper from parts looks pretty simple, and it allows you to have whatever barrel you want and not rely on a company to have that specific combo.

My AR cost just over 1k without optics, and i bought the upper instead of building it.

depends on which caliber you build the AR in.
223/556 is available but it's jacked up to 1.00 a round
7.62x39 EDIT: it's also the standard AK round (metric version of the 30-30 basically) aaron (blackhawke) said it's ~30 cents a round.
300 blackout, i have no idea

The gun show really wasn't that bad. Did take us a good hour from freeway traffic to parked...then we waited in line for probably an hour...but once we we in we were fine. We'd already bought our tickets online...and there were 5 of us lol...so 60+ dollars were not going to waste. Once inside, long as lines for Ammo...and the prices weren't really much difference from standard Walmart prices. One guy was claiming he had the lowest prices around...I looked at his box of .45 automatic Winchestor, 26.99 for 50...I was like...hey man, Walmart is like 23.99 I believe for this same box and he just ignored me from that point forward. Lol, ok dude, whatevers. I mean obviously a couple bucks is still pretty good, and I was just being a smart ass, but still, ruuuuude.

Saw a couple AR lowers I almost picked up. A couple 80%'ers for like $150 I think...then another booth had some fully done AR lowers...ranging in price from 99.99 to 399.99...I almost got the 99$ one...but I don't know enough about the differences in quality...and I figured that 99$ one was still there at that price for a reason lol.

AR lowers are mostly made by the same company's, just the stamping is different.

perhaps it was a polymer lower?

Disagree...I've seen many different companies that make poly and metal lowers...I'm like 90% sure it was a polymer lower....but I just saw one at a gun store not too long ago, going for 200$. And 100$ for a lower is unheard of these days, even at discounted prices...so obviously It was a low quality one they were trying to move.

And, it was the only one under $230, all the rest were around $230-$399...

that's expensive, PSA had their poly lowers for $80 the other day.

Well, I bought a badass knife/survival kit...then when I got home I noticed the *made in china* on the blade...and have been trying to see if I can snap the blade lol. Hoping it won't snap the first time i ever use it...chinese metal....

Also picked up a bunch of cleaning supplies I've been meaning to get...didn't feel like spending $20+ dollars on a cleaning kit when I needed individual pieces...got what i wanted for under $10. score.
