Well...

I know this was/is a sticky, but wanted to pass on my results of this mod as well as changing factory white bulbs to the Nokya Arctic Hyper Yellow 45W fogs...

The mod I used was previously posted by lextech...pull the fog relay and bend tab #1 flat...connect a 22g-18g female blade connector...take short length of 18g wire and splice and crimp/mate with the female blade connector connected to tab #1 on the fog relay, re-install the fog relay...then take the other end of the 18g wire, splice, and insert the spliced end of wire into socket #3 of the towing tail relay...re-install the towing tail relay...this mod took all of five minutes...I also swapped out my stock fogs for the Nokya Arctic Hyper Yellow fogs...I'll post some illuminated pics tommorrow...also, remember to swap out the rubber gaskets from the factory fog bulbs to the Nokya's so that they fit properly!!

The fog light mod is great...

fogs come on with parking lights...
fogs come on with headlights...
fogs come on with high beams...
the mod this way is "fuse protected"...
I did notice that the green fog on illumination on the dash does not illuminate when the fogs/parking lights are on, but when you switch to headlights it illuminates...

great mod...fool-proof...no splicing...or having to remember if you turned off your fogs as with the other fog light on anytime mods...this way the fogs turn off with the factory timer off light switch...
I'm buyin those fogs!! Sickness!!

Thank you for the detailed picture, able to complete the task in short order. Used some spare wiring and connectors that had for my boat. Of course my truck will never get wet, but better than household items.

And from my spare parts, had a nice coil of red wire, which after I was finished, noticed I had some black wire as well. With black, it would be difficult to see. Oh well, I am happy with red, it will remind me that I ran the wire.

Tested and all works fine.. Thank you very much.

For those that have said it took five minutes...That must have included the time it took you to drink your beer. If you put your beer down, it's more like thirty seconds,
Thanks for the write up OP!

Is that for a 2012? I'm looking to do mine this week. is that the only wire that you had to add for the mod?

This or

This will work but requires an inline fuse

I used the first one because the empty slot next to the fog relay was empty and had no female plugs.

Really weird quirk the other night at the house, my parkers blinked a few times, I figured the button was being pushed in my pocket, hung the keys up on their hook.
Then about thirty minutes later, my wife says" hey, your lights are doing it again".
But this time it wasn't my parking lights, it was my fogs. They came on, and stayed on. I stood outside in the snow for 20 minutes waiting for them to shut off, nada. Hit the key fob a few times (hell, can't hurt, right?), finally just turned them off at the switch.
Anybody else have this happen?

Hey guys,
I have a 2013 taco. Wanna do this mod, but still a little unsure. Mainly on what type of wire would I need to use to connect the two relays? Sorry no time to search this kinda stuff up right now. Mainly because Im at work right now. Haha. Thanks again.

And of course ProEFX Towing Mirrors!

If you spliced into the green wire then this will happen. The green wire is the fuel pump wire, the fuel pump comes on randomly over a course of time in order to keep your fuel system pressurized. Not sure about your parking lights. I have mine jumped from the towing relay and don't have any problem.

No matter what you have to locate your foglight relay and your towing relay. All the information you need it in the first post regarding wire location or even just a few posts back.

All you need:
16 or 18 gauge wire I believe. (enough to reach between the two relays. )
One female spade connector that goes on the foglight relay.
