    I don't know how you were going to go or if you already know this, but the 99 usually has cheaper and more frequent gas as opposed to I-5 through the central valley, although it's a little slower. If you have a smart phone and don't have the Gas Buddy App, download it (It's free), that ought to save you some money on gas.
    If you do take 5, Lost Hills has the cheapest gas and I think it's exactly a full tank from there to the Bay area.
    I hope that helps if you didn't know already!
