    2. Yeah... the upper part of your dash that goes from the passenger side vent all the way to over your gauge cluster.

btw - the airbag is a module that is bolted to a frame behind that dash piece. It's not connected to the dash itself.

On the plus side my OP wasn't a tinkerer. On the negative side I'm out $13 and some spare wire!

I used the dupli color stuff from auto zone. Only part of it that has chipped is the bed rails and that's cause I'm really rough on them. But also know that with bead locks mud gets stuck in the rim and doesn't clean out that well causing you to have unbalanced wheels until you wash it all out. That's why my truck is always clean now

Lucky on the money! I tore up my interior when installing my sound system after I bought my 99' Taco, it was UNBELIEVABLE how many unused wires the previous owner left behind under the carpets and in the walls.....

Trimmed and cleaned up my front fenders some more where the tires were rubbing a little, trimmed the ends of my front bumper down an inch plus angled them to match the curve of the fenderwell and re-capped, and then welded some plates on my spring hangers to help them slide a little easier over rocks...

I'm thinking he was talking about waxing like when you wax a bar to make it smoother to grind on it with a skateboard???

just drove my 01 from north carolina, all the way to cali. no shit drove from cost to cost with a 5k lb load in the trailer behind me. she took it like a champ i was a little worried about it in the beginning but i had not one single problem except making 230 miles to a tank i even hit 80 mph a few times "well the trailer got left in utah and now my mpg are higher then i have ever gotten in my yoda guess i must have cleaned out all the junk running that much fuel through the truck in such a short time.

    I went from this....

    IMG_0884_425caf087dde50c4d2b6c01ac60b4b7a29b4f627.jpg

    to this....

I picked me up a toolbox cheap on craigslist so I decided to swap the shell out.
Unfortunately it only took me one trip to the store to miss the shell.
The shell gave me so much more storage room. Storage room is at a premium in a regular cab truck!

Thanks for reminding me to keep my shell and not sell it off :p

I have had many urges to take my shell off and sell it for better MPG and hauling tall objects but even with a double cab, like you said, I need the extra storage room, it's like having a huge trunk in the back to store crap in and lock up or a secure place to throw a sleeping bag and sleep for the night.
