There is no such thing as an "American" car.

No matter who assembles it, a lot of parts come from other countries. Doesn't matter if it's a Toyota, Ford, GM, Chrysler, etc.

OP, I dont know what difference does it make to you that is made in US or Mexico, Toyota has the same standard of quality all over the world, if you are worried because "There is no substitute for a US worker" I can assure you, being the Toyota plant in California, you will have about 80% Hispanic workers on the production line, so whats the difference??? you want a totally US built vehicle?? build your own....

Oh and guess what, Textron has about 4 plants here in the city, and soon the bell helicopter will be assembled in Chihuahua, so are components for cessna citation, airbus, learjet, so you might want to stay away from those aircraft as well.... Go and hide your whiny ass in a glass bubble.....:)

Oh, and welcome to TW, hope you survive this thread....

what's wrong with our trucks made in mexico, mexican's are one of the hardest working people out there, which ever make of vehicle you buy parts are from all over the world, your toyota will out last any pos american car. i will never buy anything american again, vehicle wise, i laugh at all the dumb asses that buy harleys, front shock's and tranny made in china, harley's are the biggest pos. that's my .002

This is why I made damn sure the Tacoma I bought had a VIN starting with a 5 and not a 3. Dealer told me the 5 stands for 5 star quality and the 3 stands for third world country.

Ok I made that up that last bit.

If all Tacomas were assembled in Mexico, I would not have bought a Tacoma. I know there are parts made all over the world on these things nowadays but damned (niceset way I can word it without getting banned)if I wil help out those (yada yada yada's) down South.
