I need a new job. This position pays well but I don't think I'm ready to hold responsibility for 8 employees. Been thinking of leaving.

Agreed. But I guess it depends on the people you are supervising. Half of the people where I work behave like little kids.

 

I was out the door at 4:45 today and i was still late because my van wouldnt start haha. Drove my truck from lyme to madison, tried jumping the van and the bastard wouldnt start. Then i turned off my amp and lights on my truck and the van turned right over. Then from there to middlefield, then to danburry. Literally from one side of the state to the other. I do like getting home and having sunlight though. Thats when mod season starts

 

Sales guys at copeland toyota are funny . I think there was 10 sales guys standing around my truck when I came out from the parts dept.

Got my ass handed to me by a BRZ uphill. I didn't go WOT though because my pulleys sound terrible. 5 more days til my new idler pulleys come in!

I'm always getting questions about my truck when I bring it to WFM. I brought it in completely caked in mud and my favorite sales guy said that's how a 4Runner should look. Amen to that!!

 

I have had Techs, Sales Guys, and Service Writers all drooling over my truck at Boch and Braintree Toyota. I think they love that shit cause all they do is work on boring Camry's all day.

 

Pretty much . They started asking questions . I jumped in my truck and left . Lol I don't have time to explain my truck to a toyota sales man .

Mike cam adjuster is seized to the bushing on my lca . Parts should be in tommorrow .

 

Seeing i'm 23 and they don't like being asked to do something when they are twice my age.

Basically like this when the shop is slow
"Hey Denis would you mind cleaning a few lifts"
"John the tech bathroom looks a little messy I'd appreciate it if you would clean it up nice"

 

Clean it yourself kid ! Hahaha

 

That's what I have to deal with.

 

That is tough, on both ends in fairness. I was the 20 year old boss at my building with guys old enough to be my father. Best thing I can say is lead by example, don't ask them to do stuff you wouldn't and don't do yourself. Nobody likes it, but next time the commode needs a scrubbing roll up the sleeves and do it. They will notice and you'll earn their respect.

 

The people I work with are lazy, always fighting over equipment and other crap.

Fun stuff! You're completely swapping the LCAs though, right? Or do you need to do the tear down and rebuild in a day like we did with mine? If you need a hand, let me know although you might get more attention burning out the bushings in your apartment complex than I did
